Meet the team
Tammy K. Jersey founded TKJ Leadership in early 2004 (originally dba TKJ Associates) to solve complex leadership challenges through Executive Search and Leadership Coaching. She has also expanded her practice to include Onboarding and Outplacement. Tammy is known for her expertise in figuring out the true needs of an organization and then solving those needs in two ways: finding the best chemistry fit for new senior level hires and cultivating the critical skills required among existing leaders. The fact that Tammy offers this combination of services makes her better at doing each one and sets her and her firm apart from other providers.
Tammy has spent the past 20+ years helping CEOs and their teams raise their game, either through the people they hire or through the behaviors they exhibit. She regularly helps executives get promoted and/or earn greater respect amongst their colleagues.
Previously, Tammy was a Director with Spencer Stuart and has worked in a variety of corporate and government settings, including American Express, The Danbury Mint, and The First Boston Corporation. She also spent several years as a senior aide in the United States Senate.
Tammy serves on the Executive Committee of the Board of Trustees of Temple Israel in Westport, CT. She is also a member of the Women Presidents Organization and an Expert Advisor for the CEO trust. She is married, has two sons, and is an avid tennis and paddle tennis player.
Tammy earned a B.A. in Political Science from Vassar College and an M.B.A. from The Harvard Business School. She is certified in the MBTI and Hogan Assessments.
